Staff/platform engineer at AppSumo, where I build the systems other teams ship on: a partner licensing platform with an OAuth 2.0 / OIDC provider and signed webhooks, checkout and sales tax, a page composition CMS the marketing team assembles campaign pages with, and search and recommendation ranking. Nine years at one company, mostly on surfaces where being wrong costs money. B.S. in Computational Chemistry from the University of Texas at Austin, including the Elements of Computing certificate. Off the clock I keep a homelab and still build things that put hardware and software on speaking terms.
